The 6th CPC did not give weightage to the services of people retired before 2006.I had 17 years of service in the same post before my retirement. 7th CPC tried to do justice to the pre -2006 retirees by recommending Option 1 for fixing their Pension. It has been reported that, the committee of Secretaries has rejected the recommendation of Option 1 on a lame excuse.that, it is not feasible to implement. The service books of pre-2006 retirees can be verified by the Directorates from which they retired easily and the RP & AOs should accept the certificates issued by the Directorates regarding the number of Increments got by the individual. Hope, the Govt.Wont disappoint us.
I started teaching in St. Andrew’s Degree College, Gorakhpur on 18th October, 1974. On 5th May 1982 I left the college and on 6th May 1982, I joined Gorakhpur University as lecturer. In 1996 I was promoted as Reader and retired as such on 5th July, 2001, availing theI session benefit till 30th June, 2002 when I finally left the University. Now there is some difficulty in pension calculation as due to destruction of old files no one is able to remember and prove what were my last salary status details.
