Vector Cad Cam Software
Cut2D Pro and Cut2D Desktop provide a powerful but intuitive software solution for cutting parts on a CNC Router. Both editions include tools for 2D design and editing and efficient 2D toolpath calculation. The software can import 2D designs from other programs but also provides a full set of drawing and editing tools. The toolpath options cover all typical 2D routing operations such as Profiling, Pocketing, Auto-Inlays and Drilling. Each toolpath includes appropriate options to customize the settings and provide a high level of control for different types of operation.
FAQs
In addition all toolpaths can be previewed to show just how the part will look when it is actually cut, this allows instant feedback so toolpaths can be further optimized. Cut2D includes the functionality demanded for complex work while remaining incredibly easy to use and affordably priced. The software is used by cabinet makers, wood workers, prop makers, plastic fabricators, hobbyists and in many other applications. To decide which version (Pro or Desktop) is most suitable for you please review the feature list and links to the right. In developing the Cut2D products we have paid a great deal of attention to not only maintaining our well justified reputation for ease of use, but also making many common operations even easier and more logical. This simplicity while being core to our development philosophy has been done without compromising the strategies and automation required for production level work. Please take a look at the feature list and download the to see for yourself the amazing ease of use, robustness and speed of the software.

Vectorcam is an international, modern and dynamic business company, domiciled in Paderborn, which develops and sells the highly successful and under the same name known 2D/3D CAD / CAM system vectorcam. Our long experience and close contact to our users ensure a practical and future-oriented development of vectorcam at any time. We are fast and flexible and we are changing requirements always a step ahead. Innovative solutions and outstanding customer service characterizes the vectorcam GmbH. The modular design of the software enables an optimal and most efficient combination for virtually every customer requirement.
Therewith we assure more than 30.000 content customers worldwide. The vectorcam GmbH was founded in 1989 under the name Centriforce GmbH in the Netherlands. From that time on we offer a simple and high-performance CAD/CAM-software for a fast and precise programming.
Our main focus lies on “Milling” but you can also use vectorcam in the area of „Drilling“, „Turning“, „Cutting“ und „CAD“. In 1991, we already decided to establish an own software development and we started to develop our own CAD/CAM-system with the name “VECTOR CAD/CAM”. After two years of development time we presented the CAD/CAM system “VECTOR CAD/CAM 1.0” in 1993. It was one of the first CAD/CAM systems, which was executable under the system software Microsoft Windows.
The “object -action – principle, that was initialized by Microsoft, has been fully integrated. So VECTOR CAD/CAM was the first CAD/CAM system, which used this mode of operation for a CAD/CAM system. That mode of operation saves up to 40% and more of the work steps compared to the conventional operating mode. Another milestone made by Microsoft was the data exchange of the Windows-clipboard. That enabled the exchange of data between different programs.
That way it was possible to integrate a Microsoft Excel table as an object list in a vector CAD drawing. Another opportunity was to use a vector CAD drawing in a Word document for a technical documentation. Those applications simplified the programming a lot and “Centriforce” got the permission to use the Microsoft compatibility logo. In 2011 our software Centriforce was renamed into vectorcam as a result of the close association to our correspondent software. Furthermore, vectorcam started a new cooperation with ModuleWorks.
For the first time a software of a third-party provider was integrated into vectorcam. The first step included the removal simulation (simulation drilling, milling and turning). Secondly, we integrated some 3d milling strategies (Z-constant roughing, Z-constant finishing etc.). The new user surface (Ribbon) Another milestone in 2013 was the introduction of the new vectorcam version 2013 with the new Ribbon-user surface. With this surface it was possible to achieve an additional operation improvement.
Within this new menu structure different functions can be used faster and much easier according to the access. That’s why the number of “clicks” could be significantly reduced. Machine simulation At the beginning of 2014, the machine simulation was implemented into vectorcam. With this simulation the entire CNC-machine can be displayed with every kinematic movement. Vectorcam becomes Bronze partner of SC Paderborn Since the 1st of July, vectorcam is the new bronze partner of the SC Paderborn.
